Do you genuinely love others?
Romans 121:9-10
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."
The majority of us have learned how to be polite to others, including how to talk nicely, avoid offending people's sentiments, and show that we care about them.
When we hear about the needs of others or learn about injustice, we may even be adept at acting out our outrage or seeming to feel sympathy.
But God commands us to love one another with a sincerity that goes far beyond pretense and courtesy. Focus and effort are needed for true love.
It means assisting others in improving as persons. It requires our attention, resources, and participation personally.
No single person has the ability to show love to an entire community, but the local church in your town can. Look for those who need your love and consider how you and your fellow believers may show your community the love of Jesus Christ.
