Staying under the umbrella of God’s protection!
As Christians we have all been framed by the word of God:
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
As we walk through life God has framed us! What does this mean? This means that we should stay on the straight path God has made for us. Fear not when we go off the path, we will hit a bumper rail guiding us back onto the path that God has laid out for us, His children.
But be warned this is not without cost to us because when we go off the path, we are not getting God's best.
God has got us framed in, hemmed in. Meaning when we go off track, we will hit God's safety rails guiding us back to the straight path, God's best for us.
We need to walk with God how do we do that?
Obedience is the key!
Obedience and walking with God go hand in hand or it will cost us in the type of relationship we have with the one true living God. My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ I want us all to have the best relationship with God the relationship that God wants us to have with Him.
What practical steps can we take today to have a more intimate relationship with God?
Imagine, God's protection as an umbrella. We need to stay under the protection of that umbrella always. Now Imagine God holding the umbrella and moving forward at a constant pace. Our God is constant never changing, we need to stay under the umbrella of His protection and guidance.
Not going ahead of Him! Not dragging your feet behind Him! Not going to the left! Not going to the right! But walking with him in perfect step and beat. Being in perfect alignment and agreement with Him. Not being independent but being God-dependent! Not being self-centered! But being God-centered! Not my will but your will O Lord.
What happens when we move away from the umbrella of God's protection?
It's raining outside!
When we move away from God's protection, we are now exposed to all the elements of this world. God said If we do not become like little children, we will never be able to enter the Kingdom of God (Matthew 18:1-5).
What does it mean should we become childish and immature?
Of course not! What God is saying is if we do not trust God as a child trusts their parents unconditionally. We can never enter the Kingdom of God.
We must not think too highly of ourselves, as God gives it all and owns it all!
Love your bible, read it daily! God speaks through His Word.
Are you under God's umbrella this day?
