The Garden of your Heart
Galatians 6:7 NIV
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Consider your heart as a garden for a time.
And since your heart is like a garden, you need to be in control of it.
Think of your thoughts for a minute like seeds. Some ideas bloom into flowers. Some develop into weeds. Plant seeds of compassion and reap the benefits. Plant mistrust and anticipate insecurity.
There is evidence everywhere you turn. Ever ponder why certain people can withstand negativity and maintain their patience, optimism, and forgiving nature? Could it be that they are reaping the benefits of their attentive sowing of good seeds?
Ever ponder why some people seem to be so negative? With such a pessimistic outlook on life?
You would do the same thing if your heart were a thorny weedy garden.
In your garden, what kinds of seeds have you planted?
